Just wonderful trip with 69 years old Hector Krome who, some time after picking me up as a hitch-hiker while sailing with another captain, hired me as a skipper to take him for a little rumble around the Canaries. We were both pleased to share some time on his lovely floating second home, informally known as ‘The Flying Bucket’.
Trip full of little adventures and freedom of sailing! Lots of anchoring, swimming every morning, visting little towns of Fuertaventura, fishing (with actual fish being cought twice), rough weather sailing, engine failure, pidgeon in our anchor locker stopping by for an overnight rest, photo hunting and experimenting with weird popcorn flavourings…
Great trip and great experiences for both of us, looking forward to sail together again!
