The biggest flying fish I’ve ever seen, unfortunately found dead floating in the marina. These spectacular species can jump out of the water and glide in the air even for a couple hundred meters bouncing of the waves to extend their flight even more… You can find them jumping onto your deck in the night hours and scaring more sensitive crew on their watch. Some friend got his head hit by one of those and it did hurt.
A close look at some of them brings to your mind legends and drawings of the Chineese dragons. Maybe back in time they would grow bigger and scare the villagers, like the sharks were supposedly much bigger (Megalodon shark).
There might be a seed of truth in many legends. Don’t get fooled by the tattoo – still looking for an evidence of mermaids…:)
