I was very happy to sail on Y7 ‘Volante’ beautiful carbon-fibre luxury yacht.
This time I was the captain! I have replaced my colleague for a weekly trip in the French Riviera. It’s a great experience that left me motivated to continue in the super yacht industry. I have sailed on the boat several times already, but not as the captain. The owner was very satisfied and made sure I know that he will be interested to sail with me again in the future.
Y-7 from Y-YACHTS by Michael Schmidt Yachtbau is a brand new sailing yacht made for connoisseurs of luxury and dynamic sailing. Many modern solutions allow to use the boat short-handed, however sailing a boat like this requires a great sense of practical understanding and feeling for the latest technology.
I am looking forward to more opportunities like this. I was not so convinced if this sort of position is for me, but now I can tell that my broad experience is complete and I am more than ready for the next challenge in this class.
