Stress cracks were drilled off at the ends to release tension and stop the progress.Through hull fittings drilled and fitted. The hull painted before.The chainplates were coming out on this Tayana.All the system had to be redone.Fibreglassed new wooden basse blocks for all 6 chainplatesThe hardest was the backstay.Now the backstay is through hulled in addition to just bolted to the blocks.Same about the chainplated. Pity that the steel plates were not prepared in the right measures… Don’t trust anybody.The chainplates look like new and I know that they lasted for many years.Quick antifouling on this Hanse.This furling roller has some issue… Well. Can’t even remember now.Taking the mast off for revision and repairs.Mast revision.Let’s have a good look at the steering wires before we leave.Found some broken strings on the steering wires. Lucky to have noticed, as it was a preparation for over 2000nm yacht delivery.Typical plastic Jabsco toilets like to cause some trouble. You will eventually replace the whole pump module.Before and after.A quick polishing job to refresh this Huzar 30 abandoned for few years.This 1924 steel ketch had all the hull fiberglassed on top of metal. This sort of damage requires a laver of new fiberglass before new gelcoat.New layer of gelcoat applied.These keel bolts were very suspicious and surrounded by rust and we decided to revise them.All good underneath though.New, larger washers for the keel bolts.The rudder and stark needed some proper refresh and re-sealing.Winches should be cleaned every 1-2 years.Winches…But sometimes they can actually cause a headache.
